THE PROPERTY: WHERE THE RISLE RUNS THROUGH...

The property finds its origin in the 19th century, which is documented by a royal decree from 1847. The first building at sight is a factory – former Dutheil spinning, which played an important economic role until the 70s. Anecdotal is the fact that the Allies liberated Glos sur Risle in August 1944 crossing the barrage separating le Roy Moulin from the factory.

On the riverbanks of the “Risle” you will enjoy absolute tranquillity in a family owned property of about 20 hectares, surrounded by fields, and trees (sequoia), which are centennial and can reach up to a 100m and 12m diameter.

FLY FISHING

The river Risle is considered to offer the finest trout fishing in France. Le Roy Moulin owns about 6 km of private double bank fishing. Aficionados will enjoy the dry fly fishing. Only fishermen, who have booked a room, will have access to the beats. We practice catch and release. Licences can be bought in the neighbourhood.

THE ROOMS

If you are looking for a peaceful place to relax, this is the right spot. The house is in the middle of green pastures, in a private domain with charming rooms.

Le Roy Moulin can welcome 9 adults, 4 double rooms (the beds are separable, plus a single bed) all with private bathrooms. For kids there are supplementary beds available, also a baby bed.

Breakfast is served in the dining room. On demand I can cook you a nice lunch or dinner with typical norman specialities.
